ESP Endless Strip Production Line Gearboxes (roughing HRM and finishing FM stands)
Gearbox package for third-generation ESP endless hot rolling lines, the 'hot strip instead of cold' route. For the high-reduction roughing stands HRM (R1–R3) CGC supplies main reducers of the 5125/5128 series rated 3,000–5,500 kW with ratios of 7.9–23.85; for the finishing stands FM, 5121/5122/5123 units rated 5,500–7,000 kW with ratios of 1.28–6.54. The line also uses CGC pinion stands and coiler gearboxes. According to CGC, as of 2021 the main drive gearboxes of all 8 ESP lines built in China were designed and made by CGC, in cooperation with Primetals.
