BF2 Series Pinion Stand Gearbox (BF2-650 … BF2-1300)
BF2 pinion stands serve the main drive lines of rolling mills: at a 1:1 ratio they split the torque from the motor or main reducer between the work rolls via universal spindles. The range of 10 models BF2-650 … BF2-1300, with centre distances of 650–1,300 mm, is rated for 5,500–10,000 kW at motor speeds from 0–36.83/110.5 to 0–230/640 rpm. In ESP lines the pinion stands follow the main reducers of stands R1–R3 and F1–F4, while stand F5 is driven through the pinion stand only.
